It's school bus safety week! Keep these tips in mind to ensure a safe ride for our students:
Arrive Early: Get to the bus stop at least five minutes before the bus arrives.
Stand Back: Stay at least three giant steps (6 feet) away from the curb while waiting.
Board Safely: Wait until the bus stops completely before approaching the door. Use the handrail.
Stay Seated: Keep aisles clear and remain seated while the bus is moving.
Be Visible: Always cross in front of the bus, never behind, and make sure the driver sees you.
Treat a school bus's flashing lights like a traffic signal; red means STOP!

Go Golden Eagles! Good luck at the state championships!!

Just a friendly reminder that there will be no school for students on October 21st to allow teachers to attend professional development sessions.
Enjoy your day off!

Count days are designated days when Michigan's schools take attendance to determine the number of students they serve. A blend of the attendance numbers will determine the school district's budget. For every student that can be accounted for on these specific dates, funds are allotted for that school.
Count days are required under the State School Aid Act. On two days of the year, public schools tally up the students attending that day. Those numbers are then submitted to the state.
Ninety percent of that per-student money is accounted for in the October count, and ten percent is accounted for in the February count.
