Dear Columbia Families,
We wanted to reach out to let you know you are in our continued thoughts each day as we face this challenging time together. On Thursday, Governor Whitmer is expected to provide guidance on how K-12 schools will operate for the remainder of the school year.
Regardless of what lies ahead, please know we are working together to navigate the best course of action for our community. We are confident that the Columbia School District staff and all of our wonderful Columbia families will work together for the continued growth of our students. Although this is a new educational path for all of us, we love your children and have their best interest at heart. Our students are strong, resilient, and prepared. Together, we will successfully get through this critical time and grow as a community.
In the coming days, we will provide guidance to many of the questions you and your family may have regarding your child’s education and school events and activities scheduled for the end of the year. We will be sure to communicate and be available to support our students every step of the way.
We miss our students, the comradery of our day-to-day interactions, and our time spent together. We look forward to returning to school when it is deemed safe to do so. Please stay healthy and enjoy this gift of devoted time with family at home.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need us; whether it be for information, a friend, a listening ear or a virtual hug.
Sincerely,
Dr. Pamela Campbell, Superintendent
