Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are approaching the end of your child’s Senior year.  While this is not the end of the year we planned on, together we will make it special for you and your family.  This group of students has persevered through an uncertain time and will be strong as a result.  We look forward to celebrating all of their accomplishments and wishes for their future endeavors.  Listed below are the important dates, times, and events to come.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions you may have along the way.

  • May 27-Senior Scholarships-

We are working with community leaders to finalize scholarships for Seniors.  Letters will be mailed to Seniors indicating any academic awards and/or scholarships they have received.  Directions will be included on how to access the scholarships.  We will celebrate all of these honors with students on July 21 at our Senior Brunch.

  • Be the Light for the Class of 2020-Columbia Central will join schools across the nation every Friday at 20:20 (8:20 p.m.) by lighting up the football stadium in honor of the Class of 2020!  We would love to have parents and community members attend for the final two Friday evenings, May 8 and May 15, to share our love and support for our Seniors.  Reminder: We cannot have gatherings.  People who attend must remain in their car.  Please no parking or standing outside of your vehicle.   #Bethelight, #Classof2020, #GoldenEagles.

Together, we want to remind seniors of the dangers of excessive, unhealthy celebration.  We want all of our students to be safe and enjoy the graduation season.

I want the end of the year to be special for every student and family.  Thank you for all of the love and support you have given these wonderful students.  They are determined leaders who are prepared for the future.   Please let me know if I can help in any way as we prepare for the memorable events to come.

Sincerely,

Christi O’Neil
