The Columbia Golden Gears have qualified for the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas, April 17 - 20. This is an amazing opportunity for the team, but we need your help to get 11 team members and our mentors there.
While our high school team works hard to fundraise for our school's entire K-12 robotics program each year, we need your help to make this unexpected dream-come-true possible for our kids.
Our fundraising goal includes a 12-passenger van rental, fuel for transporting the team and our robot trailer, hotel rooms for 7 nights, food, and the event registration. Not only will our kids be competing with the the best teams from around the world, but for many of them, this is their first time travelling outside Michigan.
When you support a robotics team, you are supporting our future fabricators, programmers, designers, engineers and business professionals. This is the only sport where 100% of our team members have the chance to "go pro." Please help us make this hard-working team's dreams come true.
