Are you concerned about school funding? We were just notified that the lame duck 🦆 session is considering moving school funds. Once again, lawmakers will consider a proposal that will divert money away from the School Aid Fund for roads. Legislators have been told it will be revenue neutral, but this is a permanent change to the percentage of the income tax dedicated to schools and will result in fewer dollars in the classroom. Any proposal like this needs to be rejected.
Please call your senators and urge a no vote on any proposal that reduces revenue to the classroom in favor of roads.

Officer Josh Ritchey and Officer Craig Kiss volunteered in the event, shopping with children who are students from the Columbia School District. Happy Holidays everybody.
