Great performances this weeekend!!!
The Golden Eagle bowling teams started their season at the wildcat Blastoff tournament on Saturday at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh.
In a strong field of 48 girls Niya Holbert led the Golden Eagles averaging 170 and advancing to the 8 player bracket round. In a close match Niya was narrowly defeated finishing the tournament in sixth place.
Shanna Detloff finished 17th, Lorelei Mortimer 27th, McKenzie Fall 31st, Amber Johnson 34th and Sophie Kerr 41st. Great Bowling Ladies!
The boys showed their experience with a strong outing. All 5 Golden Eagle boys finished in the top half of the 53 man field. Nikolas Raab qualified 2nd averaging 204 on the day followed by Jake Luna who qualified 4th and Caleb Gritzmaker 5th. Caleb had the team high game of 243. All three advanced to the 8 player bracket finals.
In the 8 man bracket Nikolas was defeated in a tough match and Jake was defeated by Caleb. Caleb lost in the second round.
Final standings for the day. Caleb Gritzmaker 3rd, Nikolas Raab 5th, Jake Luna 7th, Brayden Steele 23rd and Keegan Lewis made his varsity team debut with a 25th place finish.
It’s a Great Day to be a Golden Eagle!
