Sec. 97 – School Safety Grants
Increases funding for these grants from $10 million to $168 million. It revises the process from competitive grants to a per-pupil payment to districts and nonpublic schools. Allowable uses include, but are not limited to, coordination with law enforcement, training on threat assessments and safety infrastructure. To qualify for a grant, the district must hold at least one community hearing on school safety. The meeting will take place Monday, October 10, 2022 at 6:30 pm in the Columbia Community Room
