Additional High School Information-
In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with input from district administrators, Columbia Central Jr./Sr. High School will suspend all attendance incentives until further notice. This includes our high school exam incentive and Senior Attendance Policy. While we understand the value of positive attendance, at this time, these incentives and policies are not in alignment with recommendations for virus prevention. These policies and incentives will be reinstated upon clearance from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
All students and staff need to stay home when they are sick. Please notify the school of your child’s absence and potential illness. The CDC recommends that individuals with flu-like illness stay home until at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever.
Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned for further notifications as the situation continues to evolve.
Sincerely,
Dr. Pamela Campbell, Superintendent
Trudy Wright, CES Principal
