What a great day at Columbia Upper Elementary School on March 16th!ππThank you Lexi!ππ We are so grateful for your support!πππ There was so much learning, discussion and interaction about STEM and mission statements and why they are useful, along with the girlβs always favorite Zumba with Rosa!ππ You can tell how much the girls enjoyed it by our photos!π
Lexi Warchock (current Miss Jackson County RoseQueen) shared βA Day in the Life of a Bioengineering Scientistβ along with information about her current specialty doing research to understand ocular biomechanics. Lexi explained how UM research (where she is working) is always of the highest ethical standards. The girls used white balloons to demonstrate principles about the eye. πCheck out our photos! Talk about having fun while learning!π
Lexi also signed personalized autographs for the girls wishing them the best in achieving their mission statements with their statements written on the photo, as well. Our Girls on the M.O.V.E. students LOVED this and also got to try on Lexiβs crown!πππ
Thank you so much to all including Columbia School District, CUES, our fabulous Rosa Brown πand Zumba with Rosa, and of course to our amazing Lexi πfor sharing her time and talent with our students yesterday!
