School credits earned by a middle school student
(e.g. Algebra I, Spanish I) will be recorded on

into the students’ high school Grade Point
Average (GPA). The cumulative high school GPA
will begin when a student enters ninth grade.
Credits earned during middle school will count
toward the rigorous Michigan Merit Curriculum
